Submitted by Anonymous Re: a Kinder, Gentler form of Bondage

Note: This entry has been posted by Gladys Kravitz by way of an anonymous comment made to this blog. The comment read:

I submited comments on the coffee talk shop site with my name that were not published.

When Mrs. Bond posted the lastest 'let's all get allong' I couldn't stand it after all she has done to divide the town she hates and foster hate.

After all their time of targeting people who didn't agree with them, sudenly they have seen the light and they're on the defensive with their supporters?

On the last program Tom Calter was on and outclassed both Bonds. It made the Bonds sound provincial because they don't understand the issues. I wish you would write about it because we need to discuss this.

It seems that casino supporters are so blinded by their narrow focus on a single issue that they ignore everything else.
Isn't it strange that the Bonds now insist that We started this show to explore ALL issues, and hear ALL points of view. Oh, really? Or did it just take them months to figure out no one was listening and you can only talk about the casino that may never come for just so long? Doesn't anyone remember the Bored meetings where Adam mounted his soapbox and preached about the casino endlessly while town business was ignored? Is the change of atitude from the Bonds only because they realize 1 they're tired of the justified attacks from voters on both sides of the issue 2 the venom in town is mostly their own doing 3 the venom only lasts so long and it's boring 4 the kindler gentler bondage isn't credible 5 they are only smart when surrounded by dummies? We thought the show was started to stroke Adam's ego. We were wrong.

Kesha, does it really matter?

Bond will simply delete anything on his blog that eventually puts him a poor light.

Now he is simply wonderful! He has fans! What a wonderful chairman he is!! What change! What an utter transformation! It's a miracle! A gift to Middleboro!!

(BTW, please don't mind that casino behind the curtain...)

Gak.

And yes. I remember everything.

Now that she has decided to partner up with hubby on "our" radio show, Mr. Bondo has taken herself out of the private sector and can no longer whine about comments directed her way....fair game.

This dynamic duos's sudden concern for a "United Middleborough" is hilarious considering that they have caused much of the division in this town from the getgo. While Mr. Bondo's snarky condecension has been picked up when he thought he was off mike or by snickering when guests say what he doesn;t have the guts to, the little Mrs. has expressed her venom repeatedly on a rather disreputable local forum, deluding herself that the fingerprints of her writing style weren't obvious even under the guise of anonymity. People just aren't as stupid as you think, Vicky dearest.

I find the Bondos' call for unification hypocritical and disingenuous. They have a long way to go to reclaim any credibility.

Mr. Bond,
If you are trying to redeem your image in the hopes of eventual state office, here's a wake up call: Local people have very long memories. Everything you've said and done over the last year will continue to haunt you. Horton

Ah...wait a minute. Let's review Mr. Bond's last blogpost where he knuckles under to Shawn Hendrick's dubious explanation for "oversight" by the Tribe to invite Middleboro to negotiations with the state. Hendricks was filmed signing the "draft". I suppose some would see Adam's response as gracious. I saw it as further evidence that he is a whimpy sycophant of the tribe. C'mon Adam....you have outlived your usefulness to the Tribe/investors. Nobody believed the slight was unintentional.

As for your call for a United Middleboro, why do I have such a hard time trusting your motivations?

If you want to truly engage your constituents and hear from all of us, stop hiding in an insulated radio studio. Arrange a public access TV broadcast on Comcast with a live audience. Face us eyeball to eyeball. That would take some real chutzpah!

Now that Victoria Bond has become the official co-host and co-blogger, the show has taken on an even deeper incredulity. She has continues from her first Gazette article to the present to keep the race card on the table. That stance doesn't hold water and doesn't advance detente.

I agree with "no spin zone". Let's open up discussion to a viewable venue where all points of view are represented. Face to face people are more likely to express themselves intelligently without flaming.

Little pond, big fish.
Big pond, little fish.

kesha got it right when she said "they are only smart when surrounded by dummies."

They were both out of their elements when speaking to Rep. Calter. Vicky should stick to the Welcome Wagon. With her hatred, it must be wildly successful.

Queen Victoria and the clown had their chance to lead and failed miserably. The Queen spewed hate and lies. The clown spewed anger.
All is forgiven? Think again.
Small town. Long memories.
Who in their right minds trusts this duo?

fisherman,
Amazing that two relative newcomers rose to power in a New York Minute. Not that the opinions of newcomers don't count. But the history, culture, and politics of Middleboro is richer and more complex than either realized. Sur-prise! Sur-prise! as Gomer Pyle would say. This ain't no Mayberry. LOL

Say what you want. I watch and I vote. Bondo is the brightest on the Bored. Pretty pathetic commentary on the stupidity of town employees to support the motley crowd. Maybe they can't be bothered to watch. Somebody needs to take Mini May aside and prep her for each meeting. She's clueless and too overbooked to research, take some of those seminars offered or learn. Nice lady, but lacking. The sole issue that got her elected was the casino. That's pretty dumb.

I posted comments on coffee shop talk that never got posted. I sent emails to the show that never received a response and the questions were never asked. This is a phoney ploy about impartiality. Neither Bond wants to raise sticky issues or offend their dedicated supporters. They'll throw temper tantrums when the state has the sense not to negotiate with a casino that will never happen. Wake up supporters because the investors may go bankrupt in RI.

Shut up, you complainers because this is the best we can do! I don't see any one of you volunteering for a comittee, attending town meeting or voting. You dont particapate and then you complain about whose running the town. Get off your couch. You wont even bother to go to town meeting in October.

The Bonds' blog entry seems to be directed primarily to pro casino advocates who are unhappy with other subjects being discussed on the show. If the Bonds truly wish to advance unity and move on to other issues affecting our town and region, they must be willing to accept that zealots will abandon them. If their motivations are truly selfless and directed toward healing, they should announce a moratorium on further casino discussion until tempers have cooled and internet flaming on forums has ceased. Nemasket.net/forum has been able to accomplish this and posters are becoming more involved again. The Bonds are capable of accomplishing the same effect.

As a local business owner, I know what's happening in town and it isn't good. Wayne, the Godfather is still too involved as is Jack, the Leader. Unless and until voters step forward, get involved, volunteer for committees and turn the town around, it's downhill. The same Old Boys are running the town. Being able to make my comments anonymously is appreciated since I would face retaliation for any comments made with my name attached. It's time for voters to wake up. Bond and bride are more of the same.

So much for kindler, gentler. Vicky is back to her old ways posting on middleborocasino. It's only a matter of time before she trashes people. She was posting on the toxic site in defense of bondo and what a wonderful job he has done. As anon 6:22 posted it's pretty transparent, Vicky.

Anonymous said...

I'm unwilling to believe that the Bondos are facing criticism from their supporters. It seems to be a transparent public relations ploy to allow Victoria to proclaim 'see, we are enduring the wrath of casino supporters for all of our good works.'
I don't buy it!

Personally I stopped listening to the Bonds' world view choosing instead to soak in Tom DiLorenzo on 950 AM (same time frame)where he reflects on social justice and personal responsibility to those less fortunate than me. Life's too ahort to waste an hour listening to self-aggrandisement.

Vicky and Adam-
How do you live in a state of constant crisis management, always on the defensive? You're both always wound up like tops. Time to switch to herbal tea and let go of all that negative energy. Namaste'

I missed the show on Thursday so I find myself without words to commment. I would love it if anyone who taped it could send me a copy. I can say that I did see, but was not surprised by the fact that the infamous letter blogs have disappeared.

Too bad for that. I still think Adam did the right thing to stand up to the Tribe. He lost my faith when he knuckled under what can only be called the most lame excuse in this history of this casino battle.....it was only a draft we signed in the presence of the media...ooops!.

carver chick, both comments that were deleted appeared on the coffee shop talk blog, managed by Mr. and Mrs.
It was inappropriate, IMO, to mingle town business with a personal business endeavor.
It was inappropriate for the Chairman to act unilaterally. I don't remember electing him King during the last election. If so, please post a copy of that ballot to refresh my memory.

gary n., you were quite correct to remind us that Victoria began the accusations of racism based on an out of towner calling casino supporters 'Indian Lovers' in a town hall event that was well-timed. It might be self-evident this person didn't live in town when he had to ask if the building was town hall. Victoria did her job to call attention to the questionable tactics used by the tribe or the investors to discredit opponents. She then wrote a letter condemning out of towners who opposed the casino and dictated the terms of the opposition as if it were her right. She not only ignored a certain out of town business owner who has been loud, rude and crude in his casino support, but participated in the hatred posted in his forum. She posts anonymously on topix, pretending not to do so. I'm not seeing detente.

Whoa! Good ole VegasVal has her panties in a wad after reading comments here. She doth protest on middleborocasino that she is not VB, and goes on a wild rant threatening to sue all of us again.....Well, knock yourself out lady. Tell me, how does a fictional caricature bring suit in a court of law? An unknown pseudonym will have a hard time demonstrating losses. So you just keep grasping at straws.

Anonymous said...

The ranting is pretty funny! Private forum? I think not. Private citizen when you post irrational trash about others? Caricature? Yes.
My understanding is that some pretty personal details were posted in private messages that the imposter needs to reconsider.

Several posters here made me curious to see what the casino supporters are now making up and investigate the fuss myself.
It sure looks like Vegas Val accused Wayne Perkins of shady dealing and bribery. If anyone should sue the caracature, it would be Wayne. This Vegas Val creature should think before she posted.
